GENERAL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
GBA 562 MANAGERIAL LAW. This course is designed to provide the manager with
an awareness of the rights of the business and its obligations in complying with government
regulations.
GBA 564 ENTREPRENEURSHIP: THEORY & PRACTICE. Graduate level course
on the theory of entrepreneurship, innovation creation and management, intellectual
entrepreneurship and wealth creation strategies. A special emphasis is placed on the role of intellectual entrepreneurs in creating high growth enterprises for sustainable
development. This course explores the nature of innovation, the formal and informal
financial services sector and its role in capitalizing new ventures, and the role of government
policy toward innovation and technological disruption.
GBA 575 READINGS IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. This course is designed for
the directed study of individual students who wish intensive supervision in some vital
aspect of Business Administration. Prerequisite: GBA 587 and Approval of Department
Chair and Graduate Coordinator.
GBA 587 RESEARCH WRITING IN BUSINESS. This course is designed to prepare
graduate students to do research as well as develop their oral, written, and interpersonal
skills. Both individual and group research projects are completed utilizing appropriate
research methodology.
