MGT 560 SEMINAR IN OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT. The operations
management function in a business
enterprise has always been central to the activities of the organization. Concern about world-class
competitiveness in
both the manufacturing and service sectors demands that modern managers understand how to
apply the fundamentals
of operations management. The application of these fundamentals will be the emphasis of this
course.
MGT 565 SEMINAR IN ORGANIZATION THEORY. A study of theories concerning
the development and operation of
business organizations.
MGT 566 SEMINAR IN BEHAVIOR DYNAMICS IN BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS.
A systematic review, critique and
application of findings of the behavioral sciences to the understanding, prediction and
management of individual and
group behavior in business organizations.
MGT 567 SEMINAR IN STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT AND POLICY. This course
covers principles of top
management and considers the forming and effecting of business policy. The case approach is
used in the course. Must
be taken during final semester of MBA program.
MGT 574 SEMINAR IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT. Concerned with
developing the student's proficiency in
applying principles and technical tools to such personnel problems as employment, employee
education and training,
labor relations, wage and salary administration, and employee services. Readings and case studies
are stressed.
MGT 575 READINGS IN MANAGEMENT. This course is designed for directed study
of individual students who wish
intensive study in some specific area of Management. Prerequisite: Approval of Department Chair
and Graduate
Coordinator.
