PUBLIC RELATIONS
The university provides news and information to the media on a regular basis through the
Office of Public Relations,
a vital arm of the Department of University Relations and Development. The Public Relations
Office assists the
university's efforts to increase its visibility by being the primary source of information to the media. Appropriate media
are notified of: student recognition on the President's Honor Roll or the Dean's List of Academic
Honors; all persons
receiving degrees; awards, achievements and activities of SHSU faculty, students and staff; and
timely news in
